The Tune 14:08
Once there was a tune And everyone knew how it went But as time went by People began to forget Until at last no one could remember And there was hatred and wars and death Then one day somebody said how does the tune go There is no tune, there never was, it’s only a myth These were the philosophers You mean there's no tune at all Well, it doesn't really matter what tune you play As long as you play something These were the religious leaders And so the world played on And there was hatred, wars and death Then one day the people became weary of this song And they all sat down on the side of a hill And suddenly they heard a very strange voice And somebody said that sounds like the tune There is no tune, there never was, there never will be Well it doesn't really matter what tune you play As long as you play something And you don't hurt anybody, especially me But the people listened And a man appeared before them With a smile on his face And a sad look too And he was singing the tune And some of the people began to sing along La la la la la… And the people who loved him Decided to follow him But the people who hated him Decided to kill him And they did And when it was finished They went back to their houses of philosophy and religion And they sat down to their tables to eat and to drink Suddenly, they were interrupted by a familiar voice And they ran to their windows and looked outside To see who it was It was him And they became confused and afraid And they wondered how they could be rid of him once and for all And while they were watching him Something very strange happened How did he do that I don't really know, but he's gone And when trouble goes, you don't ask where He'll never return, ever again, I hope Yet again they were interrupted This time they ran out into the streets to lay hold of him But they couldn't find him Just a lot of people smiling And they all knew the tune La la la la la… And when the people made a mistake They stopped, and they listened La la la la la… That's how they knew the tune Because they listened La la la la la… And if you listen you'll hear it It's all around you Just listen to your radio Watch television Listen to your leaders To the authorities To the governors To the experts But if you really listen You can hear another tune But you have to listen quietly And you have to listen every day I know the truth I know the man He’s coming soon ‘Cause that’s his plan You’ve got to be ready Hold on steady Don’t go slack He’s coming back I know the man Yeah, I’ve been changed Coming soon Playin’ that tune I got to go You coming too When he comes sailing down from the roof

Soul On Fire 03:42
Eldridge was a bad man At least that's what the people said But Eldridge he was only working out All the things they put inside his head He was like an angry lion Trapped in a vice They couldn't keep him down And so they put his soul on ice Well they locked him in a prison cell 'Til he managed to get away But living on the run ain't no fun Both eyes open every night and day Just a little peace and quiet Was his one desire But it never came 'til something set his soul on fire The man in the moon gave him the word (Ooh ooh) With a face that was clear and a voice that was heard (Ooh ooh) Go back to your people but lean on me (Ooh ooh) They can lock you up again (Ooh ooh) But I have set you free (Ooh) Eldridge says he's different now But a lot of people don't agree They say he's only trying to free himself I guess in time we all shall see But I do believe his message He ain't no liar When he says that Jesus can set your soul on fire Soul on fire (Soul on fire) Soul Soul on fire [x6] Soul on fire (Soul on fire) [x2] Soul on fire (Set your soul on fire) (Soul on fire) [x3]

Last Sunday there was preaching We all went out to hear The little church was crowded The rich and poor were there It was a splendid sermon The singing full and free Country church, country people With their eyes upon the Lord Built a church with a steeple As a place to hear his word You can live and die in the same small town But the Lord spreads his love all around The choir was dressed in glory (Ooh ooh ooh ooh) Their voices dressed in love (Ooh ooh ooh) The music told the story (Ooh ooh ooh ooh) Of God who sent his son (Ooh ooh ooh) How Jesus came from heaven (Ah ah ah ah) To set the sinner free (Ah ah ah ah ah) Amazing grace How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost But now I'm found Was blind but now I see The choir was finished singing And the congregation stood While the spirit touched and filled them (Ooh ooh ooh ooh) With power, love and good (Ooh ooh ooh) From God who reigns in heaven (Ah ah ah ah) Always watching every man (Ah ah ah ah ah) And guiding all his children With his kind protecting hand Oh Country church, country people With their eyes upon the Lord Built a church with a steeple As a place to hear his word You can live and die in the same small town But the Lord spreads his love all around But the Lord spreads his love all around (Ah ah ah ah)
