One little thing, we gotta tune up a little bit, alright? [Spoken, not by Larry] [Instrumental] ______ Sixteen hours to London You know I'm flying on a DC-10 I wonder if when this plane sets down I'll ever be able to walk again I spent thirty five days in Europe Singing 'til my voice is gone, ha ha ha You know there's never time enough to get a good night's sleep What is this road we keep running on You've got to stop this flight You've got to get back to earth You're a human being God knows what that's worth I'm not meant to be trapped on some stupid stage And end up lonely in my old age I've got to stop this flight Stop it People try to twist your message Reporters try to twist your mind You know I just can't wait 'til I can get back home I really miss that girl of mine She's the only one I really talk to She's where my heart begins and ends It ain't no lust or money relationship, uh uh We were teenage buddies, childhood friend I've got to stop this flight I've got to get back to earth I'm a human being God knows what that's worth Yeah I could be moving like a dancer on some smoky stage But I'll be risen from this prison at the end of the age Woo ??? [Spoken] We're always locked up in the studio Hey, this ain't no way to live You know they never like my records 'til the albums sell They always want more than I can possibly give I keep struggling for inspiration I keep hoping that the songs don't flop And I've been waiting like a beggar for the option to drop You've got to live up to the contract 'til they tell you to stop You've got to stop this flight You got to get back to earth Hey, we are human beings, all of us And God knows what that's worth Yeah We're not meant to be trapped in this fleshly cage And end up screaming like a demon at the end of the age We've got to stop our flight You've got to stop this flight Stop running around (Stop this flight) Get your feet on the ground (Stop this flight) You know what I'm talking about (Stop this flight) You've got to stop it, stop it, stop (Stop this flight) Stop running around (Stop this flight) Stop this flight

Forget your hexagram, you'll soon feel fine Stop looking at the stars You don't live under the sign Don't mess with gypsies And don't you have your fortune read Keep your table on the floor And don't you listen to the dead You can't hitchhike your way to heaven The devil's wrecked the road You live once and you die once with no Re-incarnate episodes You cannot earn your way to heaven You cannot get there by being good The rules were set down long ago The life was laid down long ago The rules were set down long ago When the spikes went in the wood Ooh ooh ooh Ooh ooh hoo
3.
Rock-a-bye baby in the tree top You know the bough’s gonna break And the cradle will rock You're one year older than you were the year before And each day baby, I love you more and more You make me laugh when I see you crawl across the floor What y’ doing boy Shake your rattle and crawl [x4] Stay in your stroller when your momma’s shopping at the mall Well I love my son Michael, he’s as good as a boy can be And I hug him and I kiss him and I bounce him up upon my knee And then I put him on the floor and say baby won’t you rock with me That’s right I say c’mon Shake your rattle and crawl, shake baby shake yeah Shake your rattle and crawl, stand up and walk tall And you can count on me 'cause I’ll be there to catch you when you fall All right Well the serpent was hanging from the tree just like a leaf Oh yeah (shake shake) And when Eve walked by he said lady I’ll make this brief (Shake shake) When Adam took the second bite they rubbed their eyes in disbelief And God told the devil Shake your rattle and crawl (Yeh yeh) [x4] I’ll be stomping on your head, you’ll be dancing at the dead man’s ball All right (Shake your rattle and crawl) (Yeh yeh) (Shake your rattle and crawl) Oh (Yeh yeh) You know what I like (Shake your rattle and crawl) (Yeh yeh) That's it (Shake your rattle and crawl) (Yeh yeh) Oh yeah Yeah

This is a song I never really quite wrote when I wrote it, it just kinda happened. 'Cause I was on stage, I was over in Holland with a band and we're playing an', and I had an electric guitar, which I don't always get to play and um, so I'm playing, I was really having fun and I didn't notice the song was over. So the band just stops and I'm still going [plays chord sequence]. And I'm looking at the audience and they're looking at me. I'm thinking well I should do this four times so it sounds like an ending. But while I was thinking of that I got it confused. So I did it five times, I, but I have to do it eight now. Now they're looking at me like, like they think I'm gonna do another song an'. I shoulda just stopped and told them uh, well sorry. And I didn't know what I was gonna do next. So I sang it, I sang this [Spoken] I don’t know what the future holds Don’t know what life will bring But I ain’t worried ‘bout nothing ‘Cos God’s figured out everything I got one foot on this earth, one foot toward the grave Grave, Dave, cave, Dave rave grave rave [Spoken] But I know in whom I have believed and I shall be saved There's another reason why you should memorise scripture. So then, just then I thought okay well, you know now I can stop. But I go [Spoken] You know na na na na And I shall be saved Like that and it goes like that, and the band kicks in, boo do boo ah ba ba badabadabahn bowm bowm ba. The whole band's like playing and I'm like oh man. Oh what tangled webs we weave. So I'm thinking well, I gotta come up with a fast rhyme. I've never used this one, there's something to do with a family, there's, there's a rhyme in there somewhere with. Oh yeah okay, so I say eh [Spoken] You might lose your father, you might lose your mother Y' might lose your sister, yeah, you might lose your brother Everyone you know and love has one foot toward the grave If you know, if they know in whom they have believed, they shall be saved That's how I felt. And now the room was jumping up and down and the, this pla', you know the whole place was going crazy so I said [Spoken] This world is going crazy, it’s coming to an end I was hoping it would come to an end soon. But in the song, song I mean [Spoken] This world is going crazy, it’s coming to an end But do not be afraid, reach out and love your friends Pray for your enemies, that they shall not be enslaved If they know in whom they have believed then they shall be saved

Were you there when they crucified my lord Were you there when they crucified my lord Wo-oh sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble Were you there when they crucified my lord I got shoes, you've got shoes All God's children got shoes When we get to heaven gonna put on our shoes We're gonna walk all over God's heaven Heaven woh heaven When we get to heaven gonna put on our shoes We're gonna walk all over God's heaven Ain't no hammer on this mountain gonna ring like mine Ain't no hammer on this mountain gonna ring like mine Well I work all day and half the night Ain't no hammer on this mountain gonna ring like Nobody knows the trouble I've seen Nobody knows but Jesus Nobody knows the trouble I've seen Glory hallelujah

Sorry, I left my voice in Australia. It'll catch up with me on a later flight [Spoken] Love is warm if love is real But if it's false and cold as steel It can break your heart Tear your dreams apart But love can bless you when it's true Give you hope and guide you through The darkest corridor That's what love is for You have come and now the emptiness is gone You hung a light between the darkness and the dawn Don't be pushing back and forth, you're gonna hurt somebody. You go stand out there by yourself and rock if you want. Yeah. This ain't rock and roll you know, this is the christian life. Not supposed to sway back and forth, supposed to stand tall and eh, solid and [Spoken] I love you and you love me If I am all I'll ever be Is that enough for you And hope will guide us through We grow strong, our hearts grow well We withstand the gates of hell And walk towards heaven's door That's what love is for You have come and now the emptiness is gone You hung a light between the darkness and the dawn I keep remembering sorrow from the past Look ahead tomorrow to brighter days Without your love my hope would never last True love comes from the father I, I keep remembering It is the last verse soon. Hey this ain't show business, I'm only here because this is life [Spoken] Life is hard but love abides Through the storms and raging tides We're safe upon the shore That's what love is for We're safe upon the shore That's what love is for That's what love is for That's what love is for

You know the devil was rich on the souls of the poor He bolted the window and padlocked the door But a man from Jerusalem got past the alarm He carried us home, we were safe in his arms Must be more than a dream Must be more than a dream yeah Must be more than a dream He said you're forgiven, we said thanks very much He said if you're planning on living, won't you please keep in touch We said we like the way, the way that you talk 'Cause the blind get to see and the lame get to walk (Must be more than a dream) Must be more (Must be more than a dream) It must be more (Must be more) than a dream yeah He said I must split now but a friend of mine's due He'll bring wisdom and power and comfort to you But the fat cats, they killed him and announced the case closed They spoke out of turn, 'cause on the third day he rose (Ah) (Must be more than a) dream yeah (Must be more than a dream) Yeah Must be more than a dream yeah (Must be more than a dream) Must be more (Must be more than a dream) Must be more (Must be more than a dream) Woh woh Must be more than a dream ye-e-eh Must be more than a dream yeah It must be more than a dream It must be real Oh oh oh oh

Oh Australia is where the beautiful people are You got so many crazy kind of animals And at night you got millions of stars But you must love one another I see those aboriginals standing outside the bar You must love one another Well I'm standing at the crossroads Don't know which way to go I'm standing at the crossroads Don't know which way to go Some people take the high road Some people take the low Way back among the woods among the evergreens Down near New Orleans There lived a ??? A little boy named Johnny B Goode Never ever learned to read or write too well But he guitar just like a ringing a bell Oh oh (go) Go Johnny go go go go-oh Go Johnny go go go woo Go Johnny go go go Go Johnny go go go Oh oh-oh oh-ah Johnny be good No bridge [Spoken] If you are standing at the crossroads And you don't feel well You see Johnny guitar And he's playing just like a ringing a bell Then you must tell him this Tell him that the high road goes to heaven But the low road goes to hell Go go Johnny go go go, take that high road Go go Johnny go go go, take that high road See that cross made of wood, little Johnny be good Thanks for coming to the last concert of the last tour And if you're standing at the crossroads and you don't know which way to go Just remember Jesus is coming back to earth Sweet chariot's gonna swing low [Spoken] Standing at the crossroads, which way should we go Standing at the crossroads, which way should we go Jesus stands at your heart and he keeps on knocking and knocking on your door He keeps on knocking on your door Go wo-oh Wey

Can you turn it up? Never mind, never mind [chuckles] [Spoken] Some say he was an outlaw That he roamed across the land With a band of unschooled ruffians And a few young fishermen No one knew just where he came from Or exactly what he'd done But they said it must be something bad That keeps them on the run Some say he was a poet That he'd stand upon the hill And his words could calm an angry crowd Or make the waves stand still And he spoke in many parables That few could understand But the people sat for hours Just to listen to this man Some say he was a sorcerer A man of mystery He could walk upon the water He could make a blind man see And he conjured wine at weddings And did tricks with fish and bread He spoke of being born again He raised people from the dead Some say he was a radical He always talked of being free He was followed by the people On the shores of Galilee He spoke out against corruption And he bowed to no decree And they feared his strength and power So they nailed him to a tree Some say he was the son of God A man above all men But he came to be a servant And to set us free from sin And that's who I believe he is 'Cause that's who I believe And I think we should be ready When it's time for us to leave And I think we should get ready 'Cause it's almost time to leave
11.
One two three four [Spoken] Every time I see you, you know I start to cry I know you're unhappy and that you’re living a lie And Jesus is knocking outside your door But you don’t listen anymore And you don’t love him like before You speak of compassion but you don’t really care You can talk of heaven but are you going there God’s trying to touch you but you’re out of reach And you don’t practice what you preach I know the places you're weak, I know the shadows you seek Down you go And your spirit’s getting colder Down you go And you’re looking so much older Now get that weight off your shoulder You seek after fortune and you live for yourself You stand in the spotlight and leave God on the shelf You smile, you gesture, each hair is in place But I can see behind your face, the sadness you can’t erase Yeah Oh-oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh oh oh-wo wo oh All of our instruments went out of tune while they went, we let 'em get cold so you should always keep 'em real hot. So when I sang solo they got cold. You guys can tune up. You can tune up louder than that. Y', y', was it outta tune? Close enough? [Spoken]
12.
Well my life is filled with songs But I just could not get along without my friends And I'm happy now but when this good life ends I know a better life begins And love to you sir Stonehill With your guitar full volume on your amp You're so crazy but you know it And I still love you as we both crawl toward the lamp With Clapton on guitar Charlie Watts on drums (buh tss) McCartney on the Hofner bass With blisters on his thumbs Dear Dylan watch your fears all hide And disappear while love inside keeps growing Please let it keep growing You're older but less colder Than the jokes and folks you spent your childhood snowing And someone died for all you friends But even better yet he lives again And if my songs do not appeal to you I hope his spirit slips on through He loves you He loves you, God loves you And if these songs do not make sense to you I hope his spirit slips on through You know Jesus loves you Oh-nah-nah

You're sipping whiskey from a paper cup You drown your sorrows till you can't stand up Take a look at what you've done to yourself Why don't you put the bottle back on the shelf Yellow fingers from your cigarette Your hands are shaking while your body sweats Why don't you look into Jesus He's got the answer ya yeah You've got gonorrhea on Valentine’s day You're still looking for the perfect lay You think rock and roll will set you free You'll be deaf before you're thirty three You're shooting junk until you're half insane Broken needle in your purple vein Why don't you look into Jesus He's got the answer Sleep all night Work all day Take your money Throw it all away You say you're gonna be a superstar But you never hung around enough To find out who you really are A-think back to when you were a child Your soul was free, your heart ran wild Each day was different and life was a thrill You knew tomorrow would be better still But things have changed, you're much older now If you're unhappy and you don't know how Why don't you look into Jesus He's got the answer Yes he does Why don't you look into Jesus He's got the answer You oughta check it for yourself Look into Jesus He's got the answer-ah-aw-aw-oh-oh He's got the answer

This is about relationships, when you realise you damage one another, and it's not the way it should be [Spoken] I love you and you love me Oh how happy we could be In the garden Standing naked in the light Walking slow in the cool of the night In the garden We were blind and much too young We could not see what God had done Love was speaking without sound We would refuse and got turned around In the garden We were tricked by a dark device We were so close to paradise In the garden Now we stand alone in the burning sun And think of what we should have done In the garden Separated when darkness fell Our choice unlocked the gates of hell Now the garden's dead and gone And our suffering goes on and on and on When finally death gives us release Then once again we shall have peace Like in the garden In the garden Like when I loved you and you loved me And we had the chance to be so free In the garden Separated when darkness fell Our choice unlocked the gates of hell Now the garden's dead and gone And our suffering goes on This song's really about divorce. It's about losing someone for your own stupid reasons and problems they had too [Spoken] [Coughs] In the garden [x3]

There's a lot of people starving in the world. But we don't care. We got enough to eat. We got too much to eat. You know we're trying to lose weight, some of us. Besides, you can't, like, send some food over there because, you know, it's a long ways over there, and, and McDonald's throws away their hamburgers after like ten minutes. And you're not gonna send any, any food over to somebody in India anyway because you don't know anybody over there. So you don't have to worry about it. And Jesus said the poor will always be with you, even though that's out of context. And we don't care. We know our friends are having problems, we don't tell them about Jesus. Because we don't care We're not very compassionate people. We're supposed to be the keepers of the flame, we're supposed to be the, the bearers of the light. Not hiding our light under a bushel. Or under a disguise or under your job or under your coolness or under anything. You're supposed to be sharing exactly what you know, an', and you don't do it. But what are we gonna do as, as a body of people to change the way we, we feel? Nothing. We're not going to do anything. Because we don't care. And I don't know why [Spoken] Why can't you behave Why can't you be good You don't even try To do the things you should Well what is the reason I'd like to know Why you can't be good You say that you love him And that your faith is true But you’ve got so many stronger interests What are you trying to do What is the reason I’d like to know Why you can't be good Take another look inside your dreams tonight When you go to sleep Try and find the reason why you've lost your way Like some little sheep Your face it looks so peaceful But your mind is such a mess You got a desperate wicked heart It's beating underneath your chest What is the reason I’d like to know Why you can't be good Take another look inside your dreams tonight When you go to sleep An' try and find the reasons why you've lose your way Like some little sheep You say that you love him That your faith is true But you have so many stronger interests Well what are you trying to do What is the reason I’d like to know [x3] Why you can't be good Why you can't be good Why can't be good I don't really care You don't care We don't care

If God is my father And you are my brother Why can't we bother To really reach out and love one another Why do we keep on acting the way we do The way we treat each other It must break his heart in two Why do we argue Why are there so many churches Half of them empty And some represent a million dollar purchase What's happened to the message given by our lord To take his gospel to the streets And share our money with the poor Learn to love Got to learn Love is the greatest thing We've got to learn to love Love is, love is the only thing You've go to concentrate on Jesus And forget your sins, turn away Get ready for your new life Because he's coming back again Got to learn to love Love is the only thing You've got to learn to love Got to learn to love Life's not getting better World is spinning off its ??? We got to learn to love We've got to learn to love Mmmnf There was this movie on TV on the day after and people ??? [Spoken]

Life was hard, times were bad I was lonely, I was feeling sad Heart full of pain, no change in the weather Could not smile, could not sleep Nothing helped, not even counting sheep My dreams had blown away like a feather There was a wabbit And the wabbit woved a twain And the twain woved the wabbit wight back They had a habit Of always wunning in the wain And they woved to pway with marbles and jacks The wittle wabbit He woved to talk to the twain And the twain would answer wight back The wittle wabbit would say Cwunch cwunch cwunch And the twain would say quickety quack Well the wabbit woved the twain And the twain woved the wabbit They would pway and pway all day Then the wabbit heard a man say the twain must move to Baltimore And that's when they decided they w-must both run away And so the wabbit Started wunning for the twain The twain caught the wabbit And they never looked back And the wast they were seen They were disappearing down the twack [Clears throat] [Chuckles]

about

Released in May 2005 and initially available exclusively to members of the Solid Rock Army fan club. Solid Rock described this title thus:

We took all the bootlegs in the world (all that we could find, that is) (all those relating to Larry, to put it more precisely) and we have taken the very best tracks of Larry recording in the studio, Larry doing a little humor (very little, hah) and Larry with his band - on one of his most successful world tours. Plus one-time-only performances of extremely rare songs.

Note that the song The Road And The Sky is removed due to Bandcamp policy on cover versions.
