about

Larry's distribution company and financiers of all Solid Rock releases, Word Records, refused to include Larry's audio pastiche of milestone world events. They feared it would kill album sales and adversely affect their largest demographic due to its frightening content. Larry held his ground for awhile, but with the company's insistence Larry eventually gave in to assuage their fears, figuring it wasn't so vital to the album's that he needed to fight for its inclusion. In retrospect it doesn't seem shocking at all, but apparently in the mid '70s some of the conservative CCM "suits" weren't ready for it.
